Mounting to a Network Cable Box Follow these steps to mount the access point on a network cable box. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Position the mounting plate over the network cable box and align the appropriate mounting holes (See Figure 2-2) with the holes of your specific network box. Hold the mounting plate and insert two or 4 #6 or #8 pan head screws (to match network box configuration) through the mounting plate and into the corresponding threaded holes of the network box. Pull the access point cables out of the network box until there is about 1 foot of exposed cables protruding from the box. Mounting to a Network Cable Box
Follow these steps to mount the access point on a network cable box.
Step 1
Position the mounting plate over the network cable box and align the appropriate mounting holes (See
Figure 2-2
) with the holes of your specific network box.
Step 2
Hold the mounting plate and insert two or 4 #6 or #8 pan head screws (to match network box
configuration) through the mounting plate and into the corresponding threaded holes of the network box.
Step 3
Pull the access point cables out of the network box until there is about 1 foot of exposed cables
protruding from the box.
Step 4
Attach the access point to the mounting plate (see the
“Installing the Access Point to the Mounting Plate”
section on page 2-24
).
