3 Interfaces You can configure and monitor physical interfaces (Ethernet), port-channels, and virtual local area networks (VLANs) in Layer 2 (L2) or Layer 3 (L3) modes. Table 4. To disable an Ethernet interface, use the shutdown command. You cannot mix modes for ports in the same unified port group. To activate Ethernet interfaces, configure a port group to operate in Ethernet mode and specify the port speed. S4148U-ON On the S4148U-ON switch, the available Ethernet and Fibre Channel interfaces in a port group depend on the currently configured port profile.
