Table 77: SNMP Parameters for W-IAP Parameter Description Authentication protocol password If messages sent on behalf of this user can be authenticated, a (private) authentication key is used with the authentication protocol. This is a string password for MD5 or SHA based on the conditions mentioned above. Privacy protocol An indication of whether messages sent on behalf of this user can be protected from disclosure, and if so, the type of privacy protocol that is used. This takes the value DES (CBC-DES Symmetric Encryption). Privacy protocol password If messages sent on behalf of this user can be encrypted/decrypted with DES, the (private) privacy key with the privacy protocol is used. Configuring SNMP This section describes the procedure for configuring SNMPv1, SNMPv2, and SNMPv3 community strings by using the Instant UI or the CLI.
