Setting monitoring preferences To make specific monitoring settings, right-click a printer and select Monitoring Preferences, or select the printer and click Monitoring Preferences on the Settings menu. The Monitoring Preferences window appears. Note (Windows NT 3.51 and Windows 4.0): Monitoring Preferences settings made from one computer do not affect the settings made from another computer. 1 2 3 Number 1. Monitoring Interval 2. Background Monitoring 3. Status Alert Description Determines how often the Status Monitor checks for new printer status information, from short (every 2 seconds) to long (every 60 seconds). The default setting is 10 seconds. Click the Monitor this printer check box to monitor the selected printer. A check in the check box means the selected printer is being monitored. Setting monitoring preferences
To make specific monitoring settings, right-click a printer and select
Monitoring Preferences
