General Product Safety Instructions Ink Cartridge Safety Instructions Parent topic: Notices General Product Safety Instructions • Be sure to follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product. • Use only the type of power source indicated on the product's label. • Use only the power cord that comes with the product. Use of another cord may cause fires or shock. Do not use the cord with any other equipment. • Place the product near a wall outlet where the plug can be easily unplugged. • This product has two power systems. Unplug the two power cords during maintenance to avoid the risk of electric shock. If you are using the print drying system, unplug the power cord for it as well. • Connect your product to a properly grounded power outlet. Avoid plugging the product into an outlet on the same circuit as a photo copier or air control system that regularly switches on and off, or on an outlet controlled by a wall switch or timer. • Do not let the power cord become damaged or frayed. Place it to avoid abrasions, cuts, fraying, crimping, and kinking. Do not place objects on top of it and do not allow it to be stepped on or run over. Be careful to keep the cord straight at each end. 137
