4 Operating the Meter Using the Computer Interface Status Registers Status Registers The contents of the status register (STB) are determined by the service enable register (SRE), event status register (ESR), event status enable register (ESE), and the output buffer. These status registers are explained in the following paragraphs and summarized in Table 4-5. Figure 4-2 shows the relationship of these registers.
