A LAN boot ROM lets you set up a diskless workstation on the network. By installing a boot ROM in the network board, you can enable a client PC system on the network to be booted remotely. ► Onboard FDC Controller This item is used to enable or disable the onboard FDC controller. ► Onboard Serial Port 1 This item is used to assign the I/O address and interrupt request (IRQ) for the onboard serial port 1. ► Onboard IrDA Device This item is used to assign the I/O address and interrupt request (IRQ) for the onboard IrDA device. ► UR2 Duplex Mode This item enables you to determine the infrared function of the onboard infrared chip. 29
