Step 4. Attach the Power Cord 1 Connect the power cord between the printer and a grounded power strip or wall outlet. 2 All the lights turn on and then briefly blink in sequence (see Figure 2). 3 The Error (top) Light stays on (see Figure 3). This indicates the Paper Input Bin is empty. Turning the Printer On and Off Instead of a power switch, the printer has a SleepMode function. After 15 minutes of inactivity in ready state (no errors), the printer turns itself off by shifting to SleepMode. The printer is instantly turned on by: • sending a print job through your software, • pressing the Front Panel Button, • opening the Printer Door. While in SleepMode, the printer retains all downloaded fonts, macros, and printer settings. The front panel lights remain off. 1-6 Setting Up the Printer EN
