5. Slide the drive into the drive bay (1), and then connect the power cable (2) and data cable (3) to the rear of the hard drive. NOTE: If the drive is a secondary hard drive, connect the other end of data cable to one of the light blue SATA connectors on the system board. If the drive is the primary hard drive, connect the other end of the data cable to the dark blue SATA connector on the system board. 6. Rotate the drive cage back down to its normal position. CAUTION: Be careful not to pinch any cables or wires when rotating the drive cage down. 7. Replace the computer access panel. 8. If the computer was on a stand, replace the stand. 9. Reconnect the power cord and any external devices, and then turn on the computer. 10. Lock any security devices that were disengaged when the access panel was removed. Drives 41

NOTE:
If the drive is a secondary hard drive, connect the other end of data cable to one of the light

Rotate the drive cage back down to its normal position.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to pinch any cables or wires when rotating the drive cage down.
7.
Replace the computer access panel.
8.
If the computer was on a stand, replace the stand.
9.
Reconnect the power cord and any external devices, and then turn on the computer.
10.
Lock any security devices that were disengaged when the access panel was removed.
