Boot from SAN Guide HP Smart Update Manager (HPSUM) User Guide Provides instructions for booting your server from a storage area network (SAN) instead of internal SCSI and IDE storage devices. Booting from an external SAN decreases downtime through faster server replacement in the event of a server failure. Provides information for deploying Integrity Support Pack (ISP) software components from a single, easy-to-use interface.
