WARNING Do not proceed with this upgrade without first purchasing the appropriate Power Supply Upgrade Kit. The HP NetServer LH 6000/6000r cannot operate without a minimum of three power supplies. Power off the NetServer If you have not done so already, power off the NetServer as follows: 1. Close all applications, log off all users, and gracefully shut down the network operating system according to directions in your NOS documentation. 2. Press the power switch on the HP NetServer's control panel when prompted by the operating system. 3. Disconnect all power and telephone cords. WARNING Power supplies will continue to provide standby current to the NetServer until the power cords are disconnected. 11

Removing components from the HP NetServer LH 3000/3000r has these steps:
Power off the NetServer.
Remove covers and system board.
Remove chassis guide and air baffles.
WARNING
Do
not
proceed with this upgrade without first purchasing the

LH 6000/6000r cannot operate without a minimum of three
power supplies.
Power off the NetServer
If you have not done so already, power off the NetServer as follows:
1.
