Chapter 1 Introduction NOTE Consult your network operating system (NOS) documentation to determine the maximum amount of memory supported by your NOS. Processors The upgrade kit comes with two processors and four terminators. You can purchase additional processors for a total of six processors CAUTION You cannot move processors from the LH 3000/3000r to the LH 6000/6000r. When the HP NetServer LH 6000/6000r is configured with multiple processors, all the processors must have the same frequency, stepping, and cache size. For example, do not mix 550-MHz processors that have different-sized caches. Returning LH 3000 Components to HP During the upgrade process, some NetServer LH 3000/3000r components are removed and replaced by LH 6000/6000r components. You can return all removed to parts to Hewlett-Packard for recycling.
