Removing the PCI riser cage CAUTION: To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage. 1. Power down the server (see Powering down the server on page 16). 2. Remove all power: a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source. b. Disconnect each power cord from the server. 3. Do one of the following: ● Extend the server from the rack (see Extending the server from the rack on page 17). ● Remove the server from the rack (see Removing the server from the rack on page 17). 4. Remove the access panel (see Removing the access panel on page 18). 5. Remove the PCI riser cage. 22 Chapter 3 Operations
Removing the PCI riser cage
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and remove all AC
power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.

Power down the server (see

2.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3.
Do one of the following:

4.
