Memory hot-swap enabled LED Memory card/DIMM error LED Memory card power LED Memory hot-swap enabled LED: When this LED is lit, it indicates that hot-swap memory is enabled. Memory card/DIMM error LED: When this LED is lit, it indicates that a memory card or DIMM has failed. Memory card power LED: When this LED is off, it indicates that power is removed from the card and that you can remove the memory card and replace a failed DIMM. This LED will also turn off when the release levers are opened. Installing a DIMM To install additional DIMMs, complete the following steps: 1. Read the safety information that begins on page v and "Installation guidelines" on page 9. 2. If you are not hot-swapping a DIMM, turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables as necessary to replace the device. 3.
