3 BASIC OPERATION Setting the frequency (Continued) Entering a Split Frequency Offset 1. On the F-INP screen, enter the Split Frequency Offset. LTo enter a minus shift direction, touch [•(−)]. Entering a Memory channel 1 1. Push QUICK , and touch "VFO/MEMORY." 2. Touch [MEMORY] to select the Memory mode. 2 LEnter an offset between −9.999 MHz and +9.999 MHz (1 kHz steps). 3 [SPLIT] or [-SPLIT] is displayed 4 Memory mode 5 3. Touch the MHz digits. 6 Touch for -Split 7 Entry examples ••10 kHz: [1], [0], [SPLIT] ••−1.025 MHz 1], [0], [2], [5], [−SPLIT] 2. To save the entry, touch [SPLIT] or [−SPLIT]. ••Closes the F-INP screen, and the Split function is automatically turned ON. 4. Touch [F-INP]. 8 9 10 The Split function is ON. 11 12 Shifted by the offset amount. 5. Enter a Memory channel number between 1 and 13 99. (Example: Memory channel 5) LIf you want to set a Program Channel number (P1 or P2), enter "100" for P1, and "101" for P2. 14 6. Touch [MEMO] to save the entered channel. 15 16 17 18 ••Closes the F-INP screen. 19 20 Dial Lock function 21 The Dial Lock function prevents frequency changes caused by accidently rotating MAIN DIAL . LThis function electronically locks the dial. Hold down SPEECH for 1 second to turn the Dial Lock function ON or OFF is displayed while the function is ON. ••During Split Frequency operation, the Split Lock function may be turned ON. Entering a Split Frequency Offset

On the F-INP screen, enter the Split Frequency
Offset.

To enter a minus shift direction, touch [

Entering a Memory channel
1. Push

, and touch “VFO/MEMORY.”

Touch [MEMORY] to select the Memory mode.

Dial Lock function
The Dial Lock function prevents frequency changes
caused by accidently rotating

for 1 second to turn the Dial
Lock function ON or OFF.
