■■Installing in a vehicle CAUTION: DO NOT place the main unit or remote controller where normal operation of the vehicle may be hindered or where it could cause bodily injury. CAUTION: DO NOT place the main unit or remote controller where air bag deployment may be obstructed. CAUTION: DO NOT place the transceiver or remote controller where hot or cold air blows directly onto it. Installation example Controller DC power cable 1 INSTALLATION AND CONNECTIONS 1 You can install the main unit on the dashboard or the console of your vehicle with the optional MBF-4 mobile bracket. 1. Drill 4 holes where the mounting bracket is to be installed. LLApproximately 5.5 ~ 5.6 mm (0.21 ~ 0.22 inch)(d) when using nuts, approximately 2 ~ 3 mm (0.08 ~ 0.12 inch)(d) when using self-tapping screws. 2. Insert the supplied screws, nuts and washers through the mounting bracket and tighten. 3. Adjust the angle to suit your needs. Main unit Controller cable Battery (12 V) 25º More than 100 mm (3.9 inches) height (recommended) NOTE: Contact your car dealer or Icom dealer for advice for installing in a vehicle.
