Scanning 5 5.2 Checking, Adjusting, and Scanning the Document This section explains how to display a preview of the original document before you scan it, check the document, adjust the image quality, and then scan the document. We recommend that you use this option when you do not intend to adjust the image in the image processing application after you scan it. 2 Note You cannot use this option with an ADF. Procedure 1 Put the original document on the original glass. 2 Click [Prescan]. The original document will be scanned at a low resolution and displayed in the preview area. TWAIN driver 5-4

Checking, Adjusting, and Scanning the Document
This section explains how to display a preview of the original document
before you scan it, check the document, adjust the image quality, and then
scan the document.
We recommend that you use this option when you do not intend to adjust the
image in the image processing application after you scan it.

You cannot use this option with an ADF.
Procedure
1
Put the original document on the original glass.
2
Click [Prescan].
The original document will be scanned at a low resolution and
displayed in the preview area.
