4 Device Settings Device Settings In Device Settings, you can select installed printer options so the associated features can be used with the printer driver. You can match the memory setting in the driver with the memory installed in your printer, which lets the driver manage font downloads more efficiently. You can also specify Administrator, User, PDL, and Compatibility settings. Some features and options may not be applicable to your printer. Accessing Device Settings 1 In Control Panel, select Devices and Printers. 2 Right-click your printer, and then select Printer properties > Device Settings. Device options With this feature, you can extend the capabilities of your printer for source, finishing, and job storage. In a client/server environment, this feature is unavailable to a client logged in as a restricted user. Setting Device options 1 In Device Settings > Device options, select the check boxes for all installed printer options. 2 Select OK. Setting up custom boxes Custom boxes must be set up in the Hard Disk or SSD Settings dialog box in Device Settings, in order to use this feature in the Job tab. You can create up to 1000 custom boxes for storing print jobs. Device Settings
In Device Settings, you can select installed printer options so the associated features
can be used with the printer driver. You can match the memory setting in the driver
with the memory installed in your printer, which lets the driver manage font downloads
more efficiently. You can also specify Administrator, User, PDL, and Compatibility
settings.
Some features and options may not be applicable to your printer.
Accessing Device Settings
