Device Settings AES This option uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for encryption. AES is a symmetric block cipher that can process data blocks of 128 bits, using cipher keys with lengths of 128, 192, and 256 bits. It is more secure than DES. Selecting SNMP Settings 1 In Device Settings > Administrator > General, select SNMP Settings. 2 Select SNMPv1/v2c or SNMPv3. • For SNMPv1/v2c, specify the Read community name and Write community name. • For SNMPv3, specify the login information. 3 To set authentication and privacy options for SNMPv3, click Settings. 4 In SNMPv3 Settings, select from the available options, and click OK. 5 In Apply to other models, select from the available printers. The SNMP settings are applied to all selected printers. 6 Select OK. Job e-mail notification When a job is completed, the printer sends an email notification to the specified email address. This is useful when there are multiple jobs in queue and a user must wait for a job to finish. For a restricted user in a client/server environment, the Administrator button in Device Settings becomes the Identity button. A user can enter email notification data in the Identity Settings dialog box. Selecting email notification options 1 In Device Settings > Administrator > General, select Notify when printing is completed. 2 Choose an email address option: • Select Use specific e-mail address, and type a valid email address. In a client/server environment, a client user can change this address. • Select Prompt for e-mail address, and click OK. When you click OK in the Print dialog box, type a valid email address in the Print Options or Identity Settings dialog box, and click OK. 3 For some printers, select Notify when printing is interrupted if you want to be alerted to a printing problem. 4 Click OK in all dialog boxes. Job e-mail notification
When a job is completed, the printer sends an email notification to the specified email
