Checking signal strength When at the start screen (see page 10) or in a call, the strength of the radio signal is indicated by the signal indicators on the left side of your phone's display. These indicators will move up as the strength of the signal increases and down as it decreases. Increasing your phone's signal may be easy. Try moving your phone slightly, or move towards a window if you're calling from inside a building. Making a call Your cellular phone does not have a dial tone. Simply enter the phone number (including area code, as needed) and press . Hold the phone as you would any other telephone, with the antenna pointed up and over your shoulder. Editing a number on display If you make a mistake while entering a number to dial, press to move the cursor to the left and to move it to the right. To delete the character to the left of the cursor, press Clear. To delete all characters, press and hold Clear.
