1 Connect the charger to an ac wall outlet. 2 Connect the lead from the charger to the bottom of your phone. If the phone is switched on, the word Charging appears briefly and the charging indicator bar starts scrolling. If the battery is completely empty, it may take a few minutes before the charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made. 3 When the battery is fully charged, the charging indicator bar stops scrolling. Disconnect the charger from the ac wall outlet and the phone. You can use the phone while the charger is connected. The charging time depends on the charger and the battery used. Charging the BLC-2 battery, when the phone is in standby mode, takes about two hours when using the ACP-12 charger. If Not charging is displayed, wait for a while, disconnect the charger, plug it in again and retry. If charging still fails, contact your dealer. • SWITCHING THE PHONE ON AND OFF Warning: Do not switch the phone on when wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger. Press and hold the power key . • If the phone asks for a code (PIN, UPIN, or security code), key in the code and press OK. See Access codes. • If the phone displays Insert SIM card even though the SIM card is properly inserted, or SIM card not supported, contact your service provider.
