The number of names that can be saved depends on their length, and the number and length of related phone numbers and text items. The phone supports SIM cards that can save up to 250 names and phone numbers. Contacts saved in the phone memory use shared memory, see page 3. Alternative ways to access functions in Contacts You can access the functions by pressing Names in standby mode (or by pressing Go to and selecting Contacts). See also Three selection keys. Some functions can also be accessed when you press or in standby mode. Once in your list of contacts, press Details and scroll to a number or text item, then press Options and select the desired function. To access the contacts during a call, press Options and select Contacts. Selecting settings for contacts Press Menu in standby mode and select Contacts and Settings. Select • Memory in use to select the contact memory you want to use. If you want to search for names and phone numbers in both memories, select Phone and SIM. In this case, the names and numbers will be saved in the phone memory. • Contacts view to select how the names, numbers and images are displayed in contacts. For example, select Name and image to view the names with the attached images. • Memory status to view how much free memory is available in each contact memory. Saving names and phone numbers Names and numbers are saved in the memory you select. See Selecting settings for contacts. 1 Press Menu in standby mode and select Contacts and Add contact. 2 Key in the name (see Traditional text input) and press OK to save it. 3 Key in the phone number, including the area code, and press OK to save it. • If you want to use the phone number while abroad, press twice (for the + character), and key in the country code, area code (omit the leading zero, if necessary) and phone number.
