6. Delay Time (Surround mode: DOLBY PRO LOGIC, THX CINEMA, THEATER) By adjusting the delay time, the apparent front-to-surround channel leakage can be reduced. Adjustable delay time allows you to tailor the acoustic size of your listening environment. The delay time is specified at 20 msec. It is recommended that initial delay be set at 20 msec, but adjustment from 15 to 30 msec is possible. Left speaker (L) Center speaker Right speaker (R) When operating with the main unit 1. Test Tone (Level Calibration) (Except when the Surround mode is set to BY-PASS) The Test Tone function It is important to adjust the level of each channel in order to remain faithful to the film director's intentions. When this mode is turned on, calibrate the absolute sound level of each channel using the test noise. To calibrate the sound level, measure the channel level with a sound level meter (not included), in slow reading mode and C weighting, from your listening position and set the level to 75dB spl. When the Test Tone is on, the master volume automatically sets itself to the reference position. However, when the Test Tone is turned off, the master volume automatically returns to its previous position. Operating the test tone using the main unit 1.
