When you enable search engine support, Norton Ghost creates a catalog of all of the files that are contained in a recovery point. Search engines like Google Desktop use the catalog file generate an index. You can then search for files by name. Google Desktop does not index the content of files. It only indexes the file names. Enabling search engine support To use this feature with a search engine such as Google Desktop, you must do all of the following: Install a search engine You can download and install Google Desktop for free from the Internet. When you enable search engine support, Norton Ghost creates a catalog of all of
