Understanding Roaming Understanding Roaming Roaming Roaming occurs when you travel outside the designated coverage area. Your Smartphone automatically switches to roaming and the roaming icon ( )appears in the display. Your Smartphone can roam on other digital networks. When you are roaming, extra charges may apply when making or receiving a call. During roaming, some of your Smartphone's features may not be available. Also, when roaming, your Smartphone requires additional power from the battery and may require frequent recharging. Roaming Options The following roaming options are available: • Home only - Your Smartphone is available for normal operation only in the designated coverage area. • Automatic-A - The preferred roaming list is used to acquire service. If no preferred systems are found, any digital "A" system is acquired. • Automatic-B - The preferred roaming list is used to acquire service. If no preferred systems are found, any digital "B" system is acquired. Contact your service provider for information regarding preferred systems. 77
