Lock Screen Screen Lock Choose settings for unlocking your screen. For more information about using the lock and unlock features, see "Securing Your Device" on page 13. 1. From the Settings screen, touch Lock screen. 2. Touch Screen lock for these settings: • Swipe: Swipe the screen to unlock it. • Face unlock: Look at your tablet to unlock it. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up Face unlock. • Face and voice: Look at your tablet and speak a phrase to unlock it. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up Face and voice unlock. • Pattern: A screen unlock pattern is a touch gesture you create and use to unlock your device. Follow the prompts to create or change your screen unlock pattern. • PIN: Select a PIN to use for unlocking the screen. • Password: Create a password for unlocking the screen. • None: No pattern, PIN, or password is required. Note: Additional options are available only if you set Screen lock to display the lock screen (any setting other than Swipe or None). The following options are available depending on the Screen Lock type that you have selected. Swipe options The options available when Screen lock is set to Swipe are: • Multiple widgets: Display multiple widgets on your lock screen. Appears as an options after a lock mode is enabled. • Lock screen widgets: Lock the widgets that are displayed on your home screens. • Shortcuts: Set shortcuts to appear at the bottom of the Lock screen. • Unlock effect: Set the effect you receive when unlocking the phone. You can select None or Light effect. • Help text: Show help information on the Lock screen. • Wake up in lock screen: Unlock the screen using wake-up command when swipe or motion lock is enabled. • Set wake-up command: Designate your wake-up commands. Touch Set wake-up command and follow the on-screen prompts to create a new verbal command. Settings 129
