English Fueling Closing the fuel filler cap Change the fuel pickup body every year 370BA019 KN Before fueling, clean the fuel filler cap and the area around it so that dirt does not fall into the fuel tank. Dirt in the tank can contribute to poor running performance and engine failure. WARNING To avoid the risk of fire or other injuries due to escaping gasoline vapors, open the fuel filler cap carefully so that any pressure in the tank can escape slowly. WARNING Never use a tool to open the fuel cap. This could damage the cap and cause a fuel leak. Do not spill fuel and do not fill the tank to the brim. Opening the fuel filler cap 1. 2. Press the cap down with your hand as far as possible, turn it counterclockwise (approx. 1/8 turn) and remove it. 370BA093 KN 1. 2. N Insert the cap and turn it until it engages in the mount N Press the cap down with your hand and turn it clockwise (approx. 1/8 turn) until it engages completely and seals the tank. Check the cap for tightness Checking the installation of the fuel filler cap N Grip the cap - the cap is closed properly if it cannot be removed and the markings (arrows) on the cap and fuel tank are aligned If the cap can be removed or the markings do not align, close the cap again - see the section "Closing the fuel filler cap" in this instruction manual. 370BA095 KN 370BA094 KN N Drain the fuel tank and allow it to air out N Pull the fuel pickup body out of the tank with a wire hook or other suitable tool and disconnect it from the hose N Connect a new fuel pickup body to the hose N Return the fuel pickup body to the tank 38 TS 410, TS 420

Before fueling, clean the fuel filler cap
and the area around it so that dirt does
not fall into the fuel tank. Dirt in the tank
can contribute to poor running
performance and engine failure.
WARNING
To avoid the risk of fire or other injuries
due to escaping gasoline vapors, open
the fuel filler cap carefully so that any
pressure in the tank can escape slowly.
WARNING
Never use a tool to open the fuel cap.
This could damage the cap and cause a
fuel leak.
Do not spill fuel and do not fill the tank to
the brim.
Opening the fuel filler cap
Press the cap down with your hand as
far as possible, turn it counterclockwise
(approx. 1/8 turn) and remove it.
Closing the fuel filler cap

Insert the cap and turn it until it
engages in the mount
N
Press the cap down with your hand
and turn it clockwise
(approx. 1/8 turn) until it engages
completely and seals the tank.
Check the cap for tightness

Grip the cap – the cap is closed
properly if it cannot be removed and
the markings (arrows) on the cap
and fuel tank are aligned
If the cap can be removed or the
markings do not align, close the cap
again – see the section "Closing the fuel
filler cap" in this instruction manual.
Change the fuel pickup body every year

Drain the fuel tank and allow it to air
out

Pull the fuel pickup body out of the
tank with a wire hook or other
suitable tool and disconnect it from
the hose

Connect a new fuel pickup body to
the hose

Return the fuel pickup body to the
tank
