By default, the Network Security console attempts to load all incidents from all the nodes in the chosen cluster. If it lacks sufficient memory to load all the data, the Network Security console becomes unresponsive. To prevent this, you can limit the number of incidents loaded, by editing the incidentHours key in the .SymantecNetworkSecurity.properties file. Configuring advanced parameters Advanced parameters are set with a default appropriate for optimum performance and sensitivity under most circumstances. The advanced parameters described in this appendix provide ways for a skilled SuperUser to troubleshoot, or to fine-tune some features for special circumstances. In most situations, it is not necessary to adjust advanced parameters.
