Supported PCs Connecting the camera to a PC enables you to transfer your photographed images to the PC, edit the images, send them to your family and friends via the Internet, or burn them onto a DVD. System Requirements for Connected PCs PCs connected to the camera must conform to the system requirements shown below. Check your system before connecting the camera. Software system requirements OS*1 Windows® 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional CPU 700MHz Pentium® III or better (2GHz Pentium 4 or better recommended) RAM 128MB or better (256MB or better recommended) Hard disk drive capacity ACDSee 7 for Toshiba : Min. 100MB (for installation) PowerProducer 3 for Toshiba : Min. 550MB (for installation) Minimum 5GB required for DVD writing Display Display adapter with 1024 ✕ 768 or better and 16-bit High Color or better (True Color recommended) Interfaces USB 1.1*2 or USB 2.0 installed in the PC (USB 2.0 recommended) Depending on the drive used for authoring: DVD-Video: DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW/+R DL Supported media DVD-VR : DVD-RW, DVD-RAM DVD+VR : DVD+R/+RW Data : DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW/+R DL, DVD-RAM, CD-R*3 For information on recommended drives, refer to the PowerProducer Supported drives 3 "Readme" file. Operation is not guaranteed on upgraded PCs. Macintosh computers are not supported. Note also that operation is not guaranteed on all PCs. *2: Data cannot be written from a PC to the camera when a USB 1.1 connection is used. *3: Video CDs and SVCDs cannot be created. *4: If Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later is not installed, installation of the bundled software will not be completed.
