Reinstall the removed options one at a time, switching on the power and checking for 5.0 VDC on J910 between pin 3 and frame ground after each one is installed. 3. Replace the option just installed when the voltage fails. Malfunctioning Front Panel There is an erratic display on the Front Panel. Front Panel Display Troubleshooting Procedure Step Actions and Questions 1 1. Switch the printer power OFF. 2. Remove or disconnect the following components from the Image Processor Board: I Hard disk drive I Flash DIMM I RAM DIMMs 3. Disconnect J790 from the Image Processor Board. 4. Switch the printer power ON. 5. On the Image Processor Board, check the voltages between each pin of J790 and frame ground. Is the voltage +3.3 VDC? 3 1. Switch the printer power OFF. 2. Disconnect J910 from the Image Processor Board. 3. Switch the printer power ON. 4. Check the voltage between pins 1 and 2 on the disconnected plug. Is the voltage +3.3 VDC? Yes No Go to step 8. Go to step 2. Go to step 5. Go to step 3.
