Is there continuity between the Metal Grounding Contact and the printer frame? Go to step 5. Replace the Print Cartridge Side Guide (RRP 7.5 on page 6-83). 5 Inspect Laser beam path between the Laser Go to step 6. Clean the Assembly and the Drum for obstructions. Laser window Is the laser beam path free of obstructions? and remove any obstructions from the laser beam path. 6 Is the Transfer Roller intact and free of contamination? Go to step 7. Replace the Transfer Roller (RRP 7.1 on page 6-79). 7 Generate a Test Print and switch OFF the printer Go to step 8. Go to power halfway through the print cycle. Carefully High-Voltage remove the Print Cartridge and inspect the toner Power Supply image on the drum just before the transfer area (HVPS) (Transfer Roller).
