116 APPENDIX A: TELEPHONE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE Cleaning Your Telephone Troubleshooting Problems Always unplug your telephone from the power source and from the network before you clean it. Use a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent. WARNING: Failure to unplug the telephone before you clean it could result in electrical shock. Table 16 lists possible problems that you may encounter and the most likely solutions. Where possible, each solution refers to the section in this guide where you can find detailed information.
