45 Chapter 3: PageMaker Plug-in Pack Features The PageMaker Plug-in Pack includes a set of new features designed to facilitate the transition from PageMaker to InDesign. Even if you've never used PageMaker, you'll find the following features helpful in improving your productivity: • "Using the PageMaker toolbar" on page 45 • "About bulleted and numbered lists" on page 46 • "Using InBooklet" on page 51 • "Using Data Merge" on page 57 • "Using the Template Browser palette" on page 66 • "Using the Position tool" on page 72 • "Using the PageMaker keyboard shortcut set" on page 73 Using the PageMaker toolbar The PageMaker toolbar provides quick access to a set of frequently used features. You can show or hide the toolbar, and you can dock it to the top, bottom, or side of the document window. Note: In InDesign, PageMaker toolbar buttons are dimmed if the feature is not available. For example, if a document has only one page, the Remove Pages button is dimmed. A B PageMaker toolbar A. Docked toolbar B. Floating toolbar To display or hide the PageMaker toolbar: Choose Window > PageMaker Toolbar. To dock the toolbar: Drag the vertical bar on the left side of the PageMaker toolbar until the toolbar is docked beneath the Control palette, or to the bottom or side of the document window. To undock (float) the PageMaker toolbar: Drag the vertical bar on the PageMaker toolbar away from the area where it's docked.
