Installing the Battery The small lithium battery that comes with the unit should be inserted into the compartment on the bottom of the machine. This battery retains memory and powers the clock functions when the power switch is turned off. The battery will last for about one year. O Plug the AC adapter box into the wall outlet and plug the adapter's round connector into the CheckWriter. Before You Start: Preparing Your Machine 0 Insert the new battery with the positive terminal (+) facing outside. Slide the battery U into the holder and push it in. Close the cover. 0

the
battery
compartment

are

battery,

pen-
cil
or
a
small
screwdriver
to
extract
it.

Insert
the
new
battery
with
the
positive
ter-
minal (+)
facing
outside.
Slide
the
battery
into
the
holder
and
push
it
in.
Close
the
cover.
