Installing the Ink-Jet Cartridge Your machine uses a replaceable ink-jet cartridge that contains both the print head and ink. Be sure to read the precautions below and follow the procedure described next to install / replace the cartridge. c EFIE l o o 00=0= 0 ffi0000 DEM mi aEmiim 9 =5o5n2+= EM MlmOEOEo' 0 If the power is on, turn it off by pressing POWER ; • 0 Remove the print unit compartment cover on the right side of the CheckWriter. Before You Start: Preparing Your Machine Push the cartridge lever upward until it clicks. Print head 12 Remove the old ink-jet cartridge. Discard the cartridge immediately. To avoid getting ink on your hands, hold the cartridge correctly using the plastic area designed for handling. Tear open the ink-jet cartridge package and extract the new cartridge and the new felt pad. Read the instruction sheet. Follow the directions on the instruction sheet to prepare the cartridge for installation into the machine.

Be

If
the
power
is
on,
turn
it
off
by
pressing
POWER

Remove
the
print
unit
compartment
cover
on
the
right
side
of
the
CheckWriter.
Push
the
cartridge
lever
upward
until
it
clicks.
Remove
the
old
ink
-jet
cartridge.
Discard
the
cartridge
immediately.
To
avoid
getting
ink
on
your
hands,
hold
the
cartridge
correctly
using
the
plastic
area
designed
for
handling.
Tear
open
the
ink
-jet
cartridge
package
and
extract
the
new
cartridge
and
the
new
felt
pad.
Read
the
instruction
sheet.
Follow the
directions
on
the
instruction
sheet
to
pre-
pare
the
cartridge
for
installation
into
the
machine.
