Before You Start: Preparing Your Machine A Warning: Keep used and new cartridges out of reach of children. A Caution: 11 Toprevent a cartridgefrom drying out, never open its sealedpack un- til you are ready to install the cartridge. 0 Install the cartridge immediately after opening its package. Ifyou set it aside for an extended period, the head of the cartridge may dry up. The head of the cartridge contains wet ink. Never touch the head of the cartridge, and never let it touch any other surface. 0 Toprevent leakagefrom the print head, do not shake the cartridge af- ter it has been removedfrom its pack. 0 We recommend thatyou use cartridges within oneyear ofinstallation to assure high print quality. 0 Do not expose cartridges to direct sunlight. Use them at temperatures between 5and35°C (41-y 95°F). Store them in their originalpackage at temperatures between -10 and 35°C (14 - 95°F). 0 Use only the recommended type of ink-jet cartridge (IN-60) 14

Caution:
