Cabling Guidelines 5-17 Managing the Rear Panel Cables You are now ready to connect the power cord and peripheral devices to the connectors located on the rear panel of the system. Icons on the back of the system identify the function of each connector. The following procedure provides instructions for connecting the external cables to the system and then securing those cables to the rack, if necessary. NOTE: KVM extension cables must be used when the ProLiant CL380 is installed in a multiple system environment controlled by a KVM switchbox.
