5-20 Compaq ProLiant CL380 User Guide Powering Up the System To power up the system, perform the following steps: NOTE: For information on the location and function of LED indicators, see Appendix G, "Status LED Indicators." 1. Press the Power On/Standby switch in the shared storage area. 1 2 LINK ACT Figure 5-14. Shared storage area and node 1 Power On/Standby switches 2. Check the shared storage Power On/Standby switch LED indicators. The following settings indicate that the power switch is on and the area is operational: The On/Standby LED turns from amber to green Activity light flashes green 3. When the On/Standby LED turns green, listen for the fans to start. Watch for: The hard drive LED indicators turn on and remain lit until the CR3500 RAID Controller finishes its power on self-test. The Shared Storage RAID Controller CR3500 LED indicators will blink as the Power-On Self-Test (POST) sequence executes. The heartbeat LED will continue to blink after the sequence is complete. NOTE: Please refer to the Compaq ProLiant CL380 Troubleshooting Guide for resolving problems occurring when a fault LED remains on.
