4-12 Compaq ProLiant CL380 User Guide Connecting Nodes to an External KVM Switch Internal to the ProLiant CL380 is a two-port keyboard, video and monitor (KVM) switch. This switch is only designed to support keyboard, video, and mouse needs of both server nodes in the system. By design, the KVM does not support configurations that cascade or daisy chain its functions to other KVM switches. To connect both server nodes to an external KVM switchbox, you will need to order KVM extension cables for each node. The available KVM extension cables are listed in table 4-2.
