D-Link DES-3326S Layer 3 Switch To set up an OSPF Area configuration click the OSPF Area Settings link to open the following dialog box: Figure 24- 5. OSPF Area Setting The first OSPF Area Setting screen displays a summary of all of the OSPF areas defined on the switch. OSPF areas can be added, edited, or deleted from this screen. To add an OSPF area to the switch, click on the New button: Figure 24- 6. OSPF Area Setting − Add To edit an existing OSPF area definition, select the area from the OSPF Area Setting screen, and then click the Edit button: Figure 24- 7. OSPF Area Setting − Edit The following fields can be set or are displayed: Parameter Description Area ID Type Stub Import Summary LSA Default Cost A 32-bit number in the form of an IP address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) that uniquely identifies the OSPF area in the OSPF domain. This field can be toggled between Normal and Stub using the space bar. When it is toggled to Stub, additional fields appear − Stub Import Summary LSA, and Default Cost. Displays whether or not the selected Area will allow Summary Link-State Advertisements (Summary LSAs) to be imported into the area from other areas. Displays the default cost for the route to the stub of between 0 and 65,535. The default is 0. 178
