D-Link DES-3326S Layer 3 Switch Chapter 13 SNTP Settings The Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP), an adaptation of the Network Time Protocol (NPT) is configured on the Switch using the following pages. The SNTP subdirectory in the Basic Setup contains the links to the menus used to configure SNTP. Current Time Settings Use the current time settings to determine how system time will be kept. The table below describes the parameters used for setting SNTP. Figure 13- 1. Current Time Settings The following parameters can set or are displayed: Parameter Description Current Time Displays the current system time. Time Source Displays the time source for the system. SNTP State Use this pull-down menu to Enable or Disable SNTP. SNTP Server Secondary This is the primary server the SNTP information will be taken from SNTP Poll Interval in Seconds This is the interval between requests for updated SNTP information. Year Enter the current year, if you want to update the system clock. Month Enter the current month, if you want to update the system clock. Day Enter the current day, if you want to update the system clock. Time in HH MM SS Enter the current time in hours, minutes, and seconds, if you want to update the system clock. 75
