Modular Ethernet Switch User's Guide Click on the 802.1Q Static VLANs icon to access the following window: Figure 7-37. 802.1Q Static VLANs window To configure an 802.1Q VLAN entry, enter a VLAN ID (VID) number and VLAN Name in the first two fields. If the VLAN is not previously defined on the switch, click New. Click Apply to let the changes take effect. To enter a new 802.1Q VLAN, click on the New icon (the pointing finger) to access the following window: Figure 7-38. Edit 802.1Q Static VLANs window The fields you can set are: ♦ VID Enter a VLAN ID from 1 to 4094. This is the VLAN that will be defined on this screen. VID 1 is the default VLAN. All ports are designated members of VID 1 when VLANs are enabled. ♦ VLAN Name Description of the VLAN. ♦ Tag/Untag Toggle between T for Tagging Port and U for Untagging Port for each member port. Enter a VLAN ID from 1 to 4094. This is the VLAN that will be defined on this screen. VID 1 is the
default VLAN. All ports are designated members of VID 1 when VLANs are enabled.
VLAN Name
Description of the VLAN.
Tag/Untag
Toggle between
T
for Tagging Port and
U
for Untagging Port for each member port.
