Configure Console window Items in the window are described as follows: ♦ Console Timeout This is a security feature which measures the time that the console connection is inactive. Possible values are 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins, or Never. After the time expires the console will automatically log off. ♦ Serial Port Select the protocol for communicating through the console port, Console or SLIP. Use SLIP for out-of-band management. ♦ Baud Rate If SLIP is being used, you may set the Baud Rate to: 2400, 9600, 19200, or 38400. Click Apply and then reboot the Switch for console port settings to take effect.
