See "Removing the side panels". Procedure 1 Lay the chassis on the left side. 2 Disconnect the power cable from the U.2 solid-state drive. 3 Disconnect the U.2 fan cable from the fan connector. 4 Remove the screw (#6-32x6) that secures the U2.solid-state drive to the chassis. 5 Lift the U.2 solid-state drive, along with the hard-drive assembly bracket off the chassis. 6 Remove the four screws (#6-32x3.6) that secure the U.2 solid-state drive to the hard-drive assembly bracket. 38

Prerequisites

Remove the
stability foot

Remove the left and right side-panels. See “

Procedure
1
Lay the chassis on the left side.

Disconnect the power cable from the U.2 solid-state drive.
3
Disconnect the U.2 fan cable from the fan connector.
4
Remove the screw (#6-32x6) that secures the U2.solid-state drive to the chassis.
5
Lift the U.2 solid-state drive, along with the hard-drive assembly bracket off the chassis.
6
Remove the four screws (#6-32x3.6) that secure the U.2 solid-state drive to the hard-drive assembly bracket.
