The EPSON Status Monitor utility gives the network administrator an additional tool to display printer status and change printer settings from the network. You can use the Status Monitor on a Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 system. The Status Monitor requires the following: t If you're using Windows NT 3.51, you must install AppleTalk. (If you're using Windows 95, the EPSON Status Monitor utility automatically installs AppleTalk.) t If you are using Windows 95, make sure that Microsoft DLC is not installed and that the ODI driver is not selected as the network card driver. Installing the Status Monitor Utility Follow these steps to install the Status Monitor utility: 1. Insert the EPSON Status Monitor diskette. 2. If you are using Windows 95, click Start, then choose Run. If you are using Windows NT 3.51, go to the Program Manager, then choose Run from the File menu. 3. Type a:setup (or b:setup); then click OK. The utility begins to install automatically. When installation is complete, you see a message asking you to restart Windows. 4. Click OK.
