5 Insert a DOS-bootable USB disk-on-key or DOS-bootable CD containing a valid BIOS image. 6 Reconnect the power cords and turn on the server. The BIOS recovery is initiated. While the BIOS is being recovered, the monitor displays a blue screen and the server will beep continually. The process is complete when the server stops beeping. 7 Remove the bootable USB disk-on-key or CD. 8 Turn off the server, then disconnect the power cords and all other cables connected to the server. 9 Follow the instructions in "Opening the server case" on page 38. 10 Place the jumper back onto pins 2-3. 11 Follow the instructions in "Closing the server case" on page 39. 12 Plug in the AC power cords and turn on the server, then verify that the recovery was successful. 96 www.gateway.com
