Two-Way Calling

NOTE: Before you intercom/page another handset or base, you must decide whether you want to create a two-way or a three-way conversation. IMPORTANT NOTE: The following procedures for the handset can ONLY be done with a Model 21098A handset. If you are using an optional Model 21009A handset, please refer to the Section "21009A Optional Handset Additional Instructions" in the latter part of this User's Guide. Two-Way Calling On the Base 1. During an external call, press the PAGE/INT button, and use the touchtone pad to enter the handset number (1 to 4) you want to call. NOTE: The receiving handset presses the int button to answer the intercom call. Both intercom users may speak privately. The external caller will not hear the intercom conversation. 2. When finished, press the *exit button or PAGE/INT button to end the intercom call, return to talk mode, and resume your original telephone conversation. On A Cordless Handset 1. During an external call, press the MENU button to access the talk menu. 2. Use the touch-tone pad or the  or  buttons to select 2 INTERCOM and press SELECT button to confirm. 3. Use the touch-tone pad or the  or  buttons to select the desired handset or base you want to intercom with. NOTE: You may press the int button to shortcut to the intercom menu. NOTE: Press the int button to answer the intercom call on the receiving handset. Both intercom users may speak privately. The external caller will not hear the intercom conversation. 4. When finished, press the *exit button or int button to end the intercom call, return to the talk mode, and resume your original telephone conversation. 42

On the Base
1. During an external call, press the PAGE/INT button, and use the touch-
