This feature allows you to assign a specific melody for the phone book entry. It will only work when you have subscribed to the Caller ID service. Then when that person calls, the assigned melody will ring instead of the normal ring. You may choose from 10 different polyphonic melodies and 10 different ring tones. Storing a Number in Memory on the Base 1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in talk mode). 2. Press the mem button to display [ ] on the indicator. 3. Press the desired memory location button (0 through 9 number keys). NOTE: If the memory location is occupied, the telephone number appears in the indicator. If the memory location is empty, the cursor is blinking. 4. Press the mem button. 5. Use the touch-tone pad to enter the telephone number (up to 24 digits, including pauses), and press the mem button again to save the record. The unit beeps to confirm. NOTE: The system treats PAUSES as delays or spaces in the dialing sequence. NOTE: If you make a mistake press the del button to backspace and erase the wrong number(s). 6.
