134 Your phone and computer Sharing your mobile data connection by USB tethering No Internet connection available for your computer? No problem. Use the data connection of HTC One X to connect to the Internet. § Make sure your SIM card is inserted on HTC One X. § Install HTC Sync or HTC Sync Manager on your computer first. § You may need to have USB tethering added to your data plan, and it may incur additional cost. Contact your mobile service provider for details. 1. On HTC One X, turn on Mobile network in the settings. 2. Connect HTC One X to your computer using the provided USB cable. 3. On the Choose a connection type screen, select USB tethering, and then tap Done. Connecting to the Internet through a computer If you temporarily don't have Internet access, you can still go online by using your computer's Internet connection. Install HTC Sync or HTC Sync Manager on your computer first. 1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet. Two things to check for your computer's Internet connection. One, you may need to turn off your local network's firewall. Two, if your computer connects to the Internet via PPP (e.g. Dial UP, xDSL, or VPN), Internet Pass-through will only support TCP protocol. 2. Connect HTC One X to the computer using the provided USB cable. 3. On the Choose a connection type screen, select Internet pass-through, and then tap Done.

No Internet connection available for your computer? No problem. Use the data
connection of HTC One X to connect to the Internet.

Make sure your SIM card is inserted on HTC One X.

Install HTC Sync or HTC Sync Manager on your computer first.

You may need to have USB tethering added to your data plan, and it may incur
additional cost. Contact your mobile service provider for details.

On HTC One X, turn on
Mobile network
in the settings.
2.
Connect HTC One X to your computer using the provided USB cable.
3.
On the Choose a connection type screen, select
USB tethering
, and then tap
Done
.
Connecting to the Internet through a
computer
If you temporarily don’t have Internet access, you can still go online by using your
computer’s Internet connection.
Install HTC Sync or HTC Sync Manager on your computer first.
