HP Cartridge Recycling Program information Since 1990, the HP LaserJet Toner Cartridge Recycling Program has collected more than 12 million used toner cartridges that otherwise may have been discarded in the world's landfills. The HP LaserJet toner cartridges go to a collection center and then they are bulk shipped to our recycling partners who disassemble the cartridge parts for recycling. After a thorough quality inspection, minor parts such as nuts, screws, and clips are reclaimed for use in new cartridges.
